Mlle LeNormand Cards Reading

Madam M.lle Marie-Anne-Adelaide LeNormand (1768-1843) was the famous cartomancer and developed her own divination system based on 36 special cards that was very popular in XIX century.

In later editions the special LeNormand cards were replaced with the regular playing cards, so this divination is available for everybody now.

Concentrate. Shuffle the deck. Begin putting cards on the table from left to right in 4 rows of 8 cards in each row in open state, so you can see them. The bottom row consists of only 4 cards centered.

Find two cards: "Gentleman" (ace of hearts) and "Lady" (ace of spades). These cards called key cards and represent you and your partner (husband/wife or just a person you love).

Now you should remove all cards except 2 key cards and the cards that surrounds every key card from the four sides.

The cards left on the table describe you the situation. The cards situated on the sides of the key card mean "the present". The card at the top means "the future" and the card at the bottom - "the past".

You can also do not remove cards and use all cards to read the spread. In this case note that the card changes its meaning when it is situated far from the key card. So, for example, any card means "luck" and situated far away from your key card this means that there will be no luck.

The meanings of the cards:

Hearts

6	-	"Stars". Neutral card. Periodic events.
7	-	"Tree". Health. The meaning depends on the surrounding cards.
8	-	"Moon". Reward, respect. Harmony.
9	-	"Courier". Important message, news. Guest.
10	-	"Dog". True friend. Success.
Jack	-	"Heart". Love, friendship, joy. Harmony. Sometimes means new relations (new love).
Queen	-	"Stork". Luck. Changes in the life.
King	-	"Home". Your home, business, family.
Ace	-	"Gentleman". A man - husband, son, father.

Diamonds

6	-	"Clover". Waiting. Surrounded with favorable cards means hopes realizing. Else - loss, plans crash.
7	-	"Owls". Your thoughts are sometimes dark. But keep thinking - it will help you to find the wise solution.
8	-	"Key". Solution. New life period.
9	-	"Coffin". Death, illness, troubles.
10	-	"Book". Some important information. Mystery.
Jack	-	"Scythe". Danger. Conflict. Relations break off.
Queen	-	"Crotch". You have a choice. Everything depends on your decision.
King	-	"Fish". Your hopes and plans will come true. You can even get more than you wish. A very good card.
Ace	-	"Sun". Luck, success. Sometimes means somebody's help.

Clubs

6	-	"Cross". Difficulties. Difficult solution.
7	-	"Rats". Waste of the property.
8	-	"Mountain". Obstacle, barrier. You have to find the way to walk around the mountain.
9	-	"Fox". Beware of lies.
10	-	"Bear". Force, strength.
Jack	-	"Broom". Conflict in the family or between some close people. Changes in life.
Queen	-	"Snake". Enemy. Be careful in your deeds and speeches.
King	-	"Clouds". Troubles, illness.
Ace	-	"Ring". Marriage.

Spades
